Bonding

Composite veneers

For various reasons Porcelain veneers may not be the first choice for the cosmetic needs of every patient. We are able to acheive a similar effect using composite(white filling) bonded veneers. There are pros and cons of using composite veneers as opposed to porcelain veneers.

Pros:

  • Lower cost
  • Potentially less tooth reduction
  • Can be done in one visit

Cons:

  • Not the same level of esthetics (compared to porcelain veneers). As porcelain can produce a more natural appearance than even the composite material.
  • More likely to chip and stain
  • Will not last as long
  • Very dependent on practitioner skill (not every dentist will be able to produce similar results)
